Thank you for your interest in information about our
ocean front home in Bandon-By-The-Sea! We hope the following
information will be helpful in determining whether you would like to
stay in our beach house.
Bandon-By-The-Sea is located 23 miles south of Coos Bay via Highway 101 on the southern Oregon Coast.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE TIMES
Check-in time:
4:00 PM or later. Check-out time: 12:00 noon.
EMERGENCY INFORMATION
There is a phone in
the house. All incoming calls can be received. Emergency (911), local
and (800) calls can be made. However, there is a long-distance block
on outgoing calls. If you have a telephone calling card with an "800"
access number, you can charge LD calls to your calling card.
PETS
NO PETS PLEASE!!
We regret
that we cannot allow pets in the house due to some guests' allergies,
possible flea infestation, and the extra cleaning involved (in our
very limited time between guests). There are good kennels available
in the area.
BEACH ACCESS
Pretty green, but
stickery, gorse grows on the bluff below the house. Good steps down
to the beach are located at the Face Rock Viewpoint, which is just
four houses south. The beach is wide and sandy with
caves and spectacular rock outcroppings along the shore. At low tide
there are fascinating tide pools and sometimes many colorful starfish
around the bases of the rocks. (It is illegal to take live marine
specimens from the beach.) The beach is lovely for beach combing,
picnicking, sunning, swimming (though cold!), or just walking. If you
wish to ride on the beach, horses can be rented from stables south of
our house along Beach Loop Drive.

Electric units in each room
are controlled individually. There is also a fireplace and firewood.
