To all  you people out there who love to hunt and fish, but do not yet know about the Steelblue Chameleon Lodge:
      We are located on the Southern Oregon Coast on the Wild & Scenic Elk River, an hour south of Coos Bay, OR and two hours north of Crescent City, CA.
      Our licensed and local top guides specialize in drifting the lush, remote river canyons and streams of  the nearby Rogue, Coquille, Pistol, Chetco, and Umpqua as well as the Elk & Sixes in our own backyard.  We go where the fish are!  Adventure?... Rope down a 150 ft. cliff for a primitive wilderness float fishing trip. Expediency?...Launch from our front yard for a day of  back-bouncing baits, lures, flies or bobbers.  Genetically big fish?... Drift the Elk for a 20lb + Steelhead or 50 lb. King Salmon!  51 lbs is the current Lodge record.  Whatever your catch, we will clean, fillet, pack, freeze, or smoke it for your trip home. 
      Summertime?...Join us for our summer events such as Photo Workshops, clamming, crabbing, agate-hunting, windsurfing, ocean & river fishing....The lodge is open all summer for Bed & Breakfast.
      Drift for King Salmon and Steelhead, troll tidewater for huge Chinook, Crab for Dungeness, and do it year round in a neatly packaged dream made real, compliments of the Steelblue Chameleon Lodge.  Our lodge is beautifully carved into a curve on the banks of the pristine Elk River.  Shaded by a Fir and Myrtlewood forest in Oregons Coastal Range, we offer you the experience of a lifetime!  To begin with, we'll put you up in one of our five comfy rooms with 2 double beds and a private bath.  Then we'll feed you a hearty home cooked meal (like Mom used to make).  For dessert, step off our porch and you're just a cast away from the deep emerald fishing holes of one of  the finest and clearest rivers in the lower forty-eight for native Steelhead and King Salmon...
