Quilt Border

Bandon Lighthouse Coquille River Lighthouse
Designed by Sandy Kintz. Paperpeiced and quilted for my dd's birthday in April, 1999.
Sandy has since designed many Oregon Lighthouses. If you are interested in checking them out and maybe ordering them, you can see them at Threads That Bind. All of which are paperpeiced and gorgious.
Stained Glass Christmas Stocking.
This is a solid, quilted stocking pattern I used to show a friend how to paperpiece. I liked the fabric colors, but I had to redo the pattern so I could use it for teaching purposes.

Count To Xmas Countdown to Christmas
Designed by Kim Graham
"Countdown to Christmas" was made in 1999 for my Cousin Cathy as a Christmas present. The pattern for this wall hanging can be found at Kim Graham's Quilters Neighbourhood.
The donkey was made for my cousin Francine for her birthday. This pattern came from the book "Quilters Ark". Donkey

Zieans Quilt Front This quilt is titled "Ziean's Varoooom-Varoom Quilt." The front side is made from a panel I orderd from Keepsake Quilting. He uses this every day at preschool for nap time. I used paperpeiced letters to make the blocks for his name that is on the top border. I think this is a great way to do a childs quilt as it makes it instantly identifiable as well as personal.
Here is a shot of the back side of Ziean's quilt. I placed pockets into the back for all his varoom-varrooms (cars). They were made by cutting out the back pockets from some old denim jeans that I had and setting them in as you would fabric squares. Zieans Quilt Back

Stewed Sue These two pictures are of the "Stewed Sue" block I made for my friend Stephanie in Washington. The left pic shows the overall look and the right pic is a close-up of Sue in the pot. The sign reads "Hunters will be Stewed!". Close Up of Sue
