Feelings

The concepts in my paintings are about feelings, from that deep warm feeling of love when you look at your loved one, to those horrible feelings we get when we see starvation or hunger. That's what my paintings are all about, the feelin' good and the feelin' bad. Life to me is all about feelings, and in my paintings, I'm sharing my feelings with you. I have often been accused of "feeling too deeply" but to me that is what life is, love, hope, rejection, all of it.

Please come along with me- into my paintings- and let yourself feel.

Style and Vision:

My style is one born of how light strikes the figure. I love painting in the shapes that light forms on people- children and adults- playing in the sun. I enjoy doing portraits that have the contrast from bright light and deep shadow. Although I greatly admire the impressionists, I guess you could call me a realistic painter as my interest in portraiture keeps me in the realistic arena.
