Beach Near Rainbow Rock

Thank you for the hospitality. The quiet of the cottage was just what I needed to put life back into order. I will always remember the ocean view and the waves drifting me to sleep each night. Brookings is certainly a place to come back to and visit.

Denise, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Thank you very much for a wonderful place to stay. The view was breathtaking and the sound of the waves was wonderful. It was the best romantic evening I got to spend with Kelly, the one I love very much.

Danny & Kelly, Crescent City, California

A magical place. We've had a memorable, special time and hope to come again.

Dick & Sally, Claremont, California

Beach seen from north, with Goat Island
Waking up to find a deer in the garden was idyllic. The view is spectacular, the room so comfortable, and the beach is out of this world! Our two night stay in your home was magical.

Argus, Catrina & Philippa, Edinburgh, Scotland

We've stayed in a lot of B&B's across the states, but it would be pretty hard to beat this one!

Bill & Shirley, Huntington Beach, California

The breathtaking view from our room led us down the trail to the beach. Wild fushia, thistles in full bloom, shamrocks and other delights led us to the beach. We wandered through the piles of driftwood, played with the birds, examined and climbed on the rocks and marveled at the multi-colored pebbles lined up on the beach where the waves receded. It was so relaxing to sleep with the window open and listen to the ocean. Lorene and Jack, thank you for opening your home to us and sharing your charming and very personal hospitality.

Tammie & Brian, Seattle, Washington

We've spent 2 nights here of our honeymoon trip. My first time ever in Oregon. We love your home, and the fairy tale like path hidden on the hill to the sea below. You're very gracious hosts and have appreciated your hospitality. Thank you. Hope to see you again!

Tracey & Fernando

It was a wonderful retreat for me to get re-energized. Thank you again Lorene and Jack.

Contemplating retirement in Oregon, this was our second trip of discovery to the Coast. We are even more enamoured with the area-- the most important being the people. We discovered wonderful hosts here in the cottage by the Sea.

Pat & Steve, Dallas Texas

Thank you for providing this peaceful haven. We never heard a car or phone. The walk down to the beach is beautiful and so is the view. Our family feels fortunate to have found this Oregon Treasure. We needed a quiet escape, and can't wait to return!

For many years my husband and I traveled the Oregon Coast during the Winter so we could experience the storms and beauty of the Ocean. This was just perfect--cozy room and the weather cooperated for us. We celeberated our 13th anniversary here and couldn't have selected a more perfect spot!

Kathy & Jerry, Shelter Cove, California

Joining hands in the glen behind your home yesterday for our wedding--with the roar of the ocean, sweet breezes from the sea, and sun shining down upon us, will forever fill our hearts. Thank you Jack & Lorene for everything!!

Bev & Karl, Cave Junction, Oregon

To those who have passed this way after us--ENJOY--the view, serenity, and lucky Jack & Lorene who have been so lucky to have lived here for so long. It was a pleasure, and we especially enjoyed the path to the beach! P.S. Chives Restaurant is a must!

Thanks for letting us share your little piece of heaven! Although we had high expectations, we had no idea how beautiful this part of the Oregon Coast would be. A great big thanks for providing the deer that showed up outside our window this morning. We will always remember your lovely home.

Your place is like a different world. The path itself was worth the trip. But then to add the view, the sounds, the sunset, the beach and the deck is somewhat overwhelming. Thank you so much. This spot has been the high point of a very beautiful vacation!

I have traveled all over the world, but this is one of the most beautiful places I have seen. Jack and Lorene, thanks for sharing your lovely place with us.

What a beautiful place to spend 2 days with the special love of your life. So great to hear the soothing voice of the ocean and enjoying the waves in the black of the night. We had the whole beach and trail to ourselves the whole time.

Clear calm sky--and as the sun went down the deer came up--we didn't quite know what to make of each other at first--but then everything was as it should always be--quiet, calm and peaceful. Thank you for the opportunity to remember these simple things.

The stay with you has been just what the doctor ordered. We've slept soundly for two whole nights, relaxed on the beach and enjoyed your good food with the view. We'll be back.

Don't miss an early morning walk to the beach--spectacular. Two timid fawns came to the edge of the yard after breakfast--it's like a Disney movie.
