1. Jamaican Evangelism.
The Coos Bay
church of Christ
is the sponsoring church for two Jamaican preachers, Patrick Parchment of
Mandeville, and
Roger Scott of Mineral Heights.
A bi-monthly newsletter for Jamaican Evangelism is published by our
Evangelist, Ed Werner, who has been to Jamaica
several times since 1986.
2. Key Communications.
Lee and Gerry Turner of Portland, Oregon,
lived in Lahore, Pakistan
for about 15 years where Lee preached the gospel to the Muslim people of that
country. Murriel (Oberst)
Schnier worked with the Turners as a nurse for many
years. Since they are no longer allowed to live in that Muslim country, Lee
produces shortwave radio broadcasts in the Urdu language which are broadcast
into Pakistan,
India, and
other Muslim countries of that part of the world. We also support this
Ministry.
3. India.
We also send full support (only $150 per month) to a very effective and
productive young preacher, Anyan P.J., in Kerala state in southwestern India. He was converted and taught by another
Indian preacher, John Gabriel.
4. Ninos de
Mexico Orphanage.

We are personally acquainted with and regularly pray for many other preachers
of the gospel in various foreign countries, including:

Zimbabwe, Africa: Dale Marshal and
Paul Reyman
Sudan, Africa: Paul Douglass, Orneo, Kuac and Yournew, who work with people in their homeland, but also
with refuges in Nairobi, Kenya.
Guatemala: Vaughn Elliott

Salvador: Octaviano, Nelson, and Santos
Puerto Rico: Jaffet
Perez
Belarus (formally of the U.S.S.R): Stuart
Merrill (Minsk), his wife and 8
of their 9 children.
Dominican
Republic: Gordon Thompson and Doug Reed.
As time, finances, and personnel permit, we want to include other
opportunities to help advance the Kingdom
of God here and around the
world. We encourage you to participate
in as many of these opportunities as you wish. It is our prayer that you will
mature into Christian fruitfulness for our Lord. May the Lord bless you as you
serve Him.
