   E-Mail Support

If you are not sure your email is working there is a simple way to test it. Simply send an email message to yourself. Then check your mailbox. If you receive the message you sent to yourself then your email is working fine.

   Account Name:    Harborside
   Incoming POP3 Server:    mail.harborside.com
   Outgoing SMTP Server:    mail.harborside.com
   News Server:    news.harborside.com

   Problems/Solutions

Below are possible reasons your email may seem to not work properly.

THE EMAIL ADDRESS IS INCORRECT. This is, by far, the most common problem. If your messages are being returned to you with a rejection notice then it is likely the address you typed in is incorrect. If someone can’t send you email it is likely that they are typing in your email address incorrectly. Email addresses do not have any spaces and never end in a period. Email addresses also never begin with http:// or www. These are web page addresses.

THE RECIPIENT’S EMAIL SERVER IS DOWN FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD. This is very unlikely. Email servers will continue to try and resend a message automatically for many hours if the recipient’s email server is recognized, but not responding. Not likely, but not impossible.

YOU ARE EXPERIENCING CONNECTION PROBLEMS. You must be connected to the Internet in order to send and recieve email. If you think you may have a connection problem, look at our connection problems page or contact our support team.

YOUR EMAIL SETTINGS ARE INCORRECT. If your email client is giving you errors, it is possible that your settings are incorrect. Contact our support team for help.
